How We Got There

So, yes, even though we have moved about two hours west, we are still a good 14 hours from Sandusky. We still have to go south, you see, then west. This time, however, the trip was blissfully broken up into two halves. Steve (Chaos) and his lovely wife, Pam, warmly invited us to stay at their home for the night. We took a rural route through NH, VT, and NY, so the drive was very pretty, albeit rather rainy. Some very funky rainclouds appeared after we'd met up with Steve, and we wondered where the tornado was.

We got together, and went out to eat at a local microbrewery in downtown Syracuse. The next morning, we left! Yes, Steve remembered to lock the door. Yes, Steve remembered to bring the hand soap, but he totally forgot the tent soap, sneaker soap, and bulldozer soap!

Almost got sidetracked and followed this truck off the wrong exit. Well, wouldn't you?

Steve naps as Pam takes the wheel. It's a partnership, you realize. Plus it's her car.

Dig it.

Yeah, same to you, buddy!

This is where we REALLY went. All the other pics are fakes.

Never fear. Pam's at the wheel, and she means business.

Interstate 90 goes on and on and on. We were on that one road alone for around 350 miles. It is evil, and puts you to sleep. Fortunately, we arrived at Sandusky in good order! Proceed for pics taken at the campsite!
