Description:The Eowujar are a race of small, burley bipeds that have a talent for mining and metal-working. They are craftsmen and women, and have refined the process of mining and manipulating mithril, a magical metal found only deep within the earth. The Eowujar respect hard work and pride, and thus find themselves getting along well with the industrious Yuannor and the proud and battle-worthy Makkar. They do not, however, get along with the protectorate races, feeling that they are interfering with the natural order by keeping individuals from reaping the rewards to be found on Aurealis, above and below the surface.
Attitudes on:
Elves:
(Ale'un)
"Damn Ale'un are always getting in the way of progress! They think they're so superior to the rest of us. They're always 'defending the forest or some such nonsense. All they are really doing is interfering with those of us who want nothing more than to make a living out of what's available to us."
Ogres:
(Gwirath)
"You can't trust anything as big and as dumb as a Gwirath. They are a slow, ignorant, and worst of all LAZY race. With as much strength as they have, you'd think they'd try and find work in the mines or something, but they never do."
Drakyn:
(L'zyarn)
"L'zyarn are arrogant buggers, aren't they? Some of them like to claim they are descended from dragons. They'd hate to see what we do when we come across dragons in the caves we're mining! Maybe then they'd lose a little of their swagger."
Minotaurs:
(Makkar)
"Aye. Those fellows have gotten a bad rap. They're fierce fighters and a bloody strong race. Sure they sometimes lose their tempers but who can blame them when you look at all the arrogant, interfering, irritating races they are bound to run into. I'm damn proud to have many a Makkar friend."
Nixies:
(N'allarri)
"Vermin, plain and simple. They are useless tittering little waterbugs who don't really add anything to the world except irritation."
Pixies:
(P'allarri)
"No better than their cousins; in fact, they might even be worse. The N'Allari prefer the water and I can avoid the water just fine but those damn P'Allari are always into everything. Always playing practical jokes on the working folk. Nothing more than a nuisance."
Prrmyr:
(Prrymr)
"Cats walking around like Eowujar. What will they think of next? I have no real use for creatures that come out of some magician's lab."
Half-Elves:
(S'Ale'un)
"I don't mind the ones who are more Yuannor in nature. They know about work and earning a living. Unfortunately, many of the S'Ale'un are ruined by the lesser half of their natures. It's a shame, but with any luck, the Yuannor will be able to breed out the Ale'un all together. One can only hope."
Half-Orcs:
(S'Uloitha)
"Ugly, aren't they? Hard to trust something that ugly. Sneaky, too from what I hear. I tend to avoid them when I can, which isn't very hard really. Most of them stay away from boisterous taverns and places of commerce. They know too well what others think of their kind."
Trokhon:
(Trokhon)
"Not bad those Trokhon. They seem steady and serious and good, loyal workers. They mostly just want to keep to themselves and there's nothing wrong with that."
Orcs:
(Uloitha)
"The race from which the S'Uloitha gets their looks. Ugly as all get out. I'm told they are strong and good warriors to boot, but who wants to stand next to THAT in battle?"
Halflings:
(Vandar)
"I've got nothing against the Vandar as long as they keep out from underfoot. I'm not much on mixed races myself, but to each his own I suppose."
Zhaun:
(Zha'un)
"Anyone who trusts a Zha'un is an idiot. Even the Zha'un don't trust the Zha'un. Dark, devious creatures, who get pleasure out of causing pain to others. I sometimes wish the Zha'un and their light-skinned cousins would just have one big, bloody war and save the rest of us from both their wretched races."
Cernunian:
(Cernunian)
"A walking plant? I have little use for plants and even less use for the ones who walk around. How can they even hold a weapon?!"
Humans:
(Yuannor)
"The Yuannor are a fine race. They care about progress and hard work. They also like to spend money just as much as they like to make it, which is fine by me...as long as they keep buying what I'm making!"
Gnomes:
(Feinggar)
"Good workers, although they make things too strange and too fragile to be completely useful. They understand the power of rock and ore, and are good workers, if a bit misguided at times."
