Greetings one & all. This is in response to Mystique's friendly chastisement about not keeping you folks filled in on the upcoming RP, and to that end, I'm going to be very honest about the whole thing. We (the grouped imms & I) have no real idea how it's going to happen, other than to know how it's going to end, which I can't very well share with you all, or it wouldn't be much of a surprise now, would it? But we do know a few things, and these I'll share with you now. We know approximately when the preliminaries will begin (around 8pm EST, but for those of you who can't be on for an hour or two afterwards, don't worry, we expect this to be a LONG night) We know that it will involve Zhalith's final "push" to take over the realms. He's going to be sending his undead armies out all over the place, and there will be attacks in various places around the realms, but no one knows exactly where. Diversionary or tactical, there will be a tremendous amount of activity going on all over the world, and the heroes of the realms will have to do a tremendous amount of work to cover all the "afflicted areas" and continue the search for the final globe, for that is truly where the showdown must take place. Information from the remnants of the Palladium suggest that Benedanti will be moving about, helping here and there, while Mouseglove finalizes his plans. Information from Cyng has helped pinpoint the location of the final globe to somewhere in the northeastern section of the southern continent, but specifics are still unknown. Information from an informant inside the Jheherrin suggests that Zhalith's "push" will involve taking his final revenge upon the mortal populace of the realms, and his forces will attack the cities and strongholds of those who've angered him in the past, so it is possible he may strike within clan strongholds, private homes, wage war in the streets of various cities, etc. As far as "assigning roles" in this, we've decided that it will probably work better to just provide you with this information, you can claim it came from anonymous missives you found on your person, or in your homes... and you do with it what you wish, incorporate it into you own RP however works best for you. We realized that, unless we'd personally RP'd with you enough to get a good grasp on your characters, we really don't know enough to assign roles, per se, so we're just going to leave it to your own personal motivations & talents to place yourself. We (the immstaff participating in the final quest) are peddling like mad, trying to get the RP ready as well as the code, so our attention is haphazard at best, but we're doing our best. Spread the word... Zhalith's armies are coming, and where they'll hit, no one knows, but rest assured it'll be in the last place you expect, for the most part. Zhalith is mad, yes, but extremely powerful and cunning. Ward yourselves, ladies and gentlemen... the end is near. -Mouseglove |
